Recently, we have developed a new method for immunoprecipitation of hTERT protein (Fig. 1 B) in A549 cell extracts using the hTERT rabbit polyclonal antibody (Santa Cruz Biotechnology) by lysing the cells in 1 × CHAPS buffer (45). As shown in Fig. 1 B, this antibody successfully recognized the 132-kDa hTERT protein using our protocol.
