Despite many investigations revealing microvascular changes in myocarditis and DCM, research into the roles played by the lymphatic vasculature in such cardiopathies has been comparatively neglected [5]. The main function of the cardiac lymphatic system is to regulate interstitial fluid pressure, thus maintaining tissue homeostasis and preventing myocardial edema [6].
