Abstract

Gastrointestinal involvement by Behcet's disease is described in two teenage girls. Esophageal ulceration and/or esophageal stricture were prominent features leading to dysphagia in both patients. Ileocolitis with fistula formation occurred on one patient, and ileal inflammation without perforation or colitis in the second. Gastrointestinal findings in Behcet's disease may simulate the roentgenographic findings of Crohn's disease in children.
