Simple and reliable serotonin assay in human serum by LC-MS/MS method coupled with one step protein precipitation for clinical testing in patients with carcinoid tumors
2020, Journal of Chromatography B: Analytical Technologies in the Biomedical and Life SciencesCharacterization of the development stages and roles of nutrients and other environmental factors in green tides in the Southern Yellow Sea, China
2020, Harmful AlgaeCitation Excerpt :Dissolved organic phosphorus (DOP) was calculated as the difference of TDP and PO43−-P (Grasshoff et al., 2007). Total hydrolyzed amino acids (THAA) were measured by high-performance liquid chromatography using phenyl isothiocyanate derivatization after the samples were hydrolyzed with 6 mol/L HCl at 110°C for 24 h (Cohen and Strydom, 1988). The urea in seawater was determined via the diacetylmonoxime reagent (Mulvenna and Savidge, 1992).
Proximate composition of enhanced DGAT high oil, high protein soybeans
2019, Biocatalysis and Agricultural BiotechnologyCitation Excerpt :In order to determine the methionine content, ~50 mg of ground sample underwent performic acid oxidation as described in AOAC method 994.12, prior to the acid hydrolysis. Following hydrolysis, samples were converted to their phenylisothiocyanate derivatives and analyzed using reverse phase HPLC (3.9 X 300 mm PICO-TAG reverse phase column; Waters Corporation, Milford, MA) (Cohen and Strydom, 1988). All samples were run in duplicate, with an inter-sample variation of less than 10%.
