Leveraging decagonal in-silico strategies for uncovering IL-6 inhibitors with precision
2023, Computers in Biology and MedicineA panoramic review of IL-6: Structure, pathophysiological roles and inhibitors
2020, Bioorganic and Medicinal ChemistryCitation Excerpt :But, the continued acute inflammation leads to chronic inflammation that culminates into tissue damage. Acute inflammation is characterized by infiltration of neutrophilic cells followed by monocytic cells, whereas chronic inflammation is characterized by the presence of mononuclear cells such as macrophages and lymphocytes at the site of inflammation.1–3 In addition to the recruitment of these cells at the inflammatory site, various cytokines are also produced during the inflammatory processes.
Effect of alcohol on the interleukin 6-mediated inflammatory response in a new mouse model of acute-on-chronic liver injury
2019, Biochimica et Biophysica Acta - Molecular Basis of DiseaseParticle size and traffic of phagocytes between the turbot peritoneal cavity and lymphoid organs
2015, Fish and Shellfish ImmunologyCitation Excerpt :Several studies have described the types and the number of free peritoneal cells in the unstimulated peritoneal cavity of fish and the kinetics of the peritoneal cell populations after injection of an inflammatory agent into the peritoneal cavity. Such studies have shown that under inflammatory conditions cells are recruited to the peritoneal cavity [28–32]. In addition, the inflammatory agent injected in the peritoneal cavity appears in the kidney and spleen a few hours/days later, indicating traffic of cells from the cavity to these organs [6].
