Exploring dengue genome to design effective multi epitope-based peptide vaccine by immunoinformatics approach against all serotypes of dengue virus

2023, International ImmunopharmacologyEmploying an immunoinformatics approach revealed potent multi-epitope based subunit vaccine for lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus
2023, Journal of Infection and Public HealthCitation Excerpt :A primary prediction of linear B-cell epitopes (20 amino acids long) was performed on the BCPred server (cut-off score =0.70) [23]. With 75% specificity, this server implements a kernel approach [24]. The likelihood of obtaining true positives was increased by using multiple tools to predict epitopes; therefore, BepiPred-2.0[25] and ABCpred[26] were employed to validate epitopes predicted by the BCPred server.
Dengue epidemiology
2019, Journal of Global HealthCitation Excerpt :DENV, belonging to family Flaviviridae genus Flavivirus, is an icosahedron enveloped virus (diameter 40–50 nm). It is divided into four serotypes, including DENV-1, DENV-2, DENV-3, and DENV-4,55–58 sharing limited identity of approximately 60%–70% of its amino acid sequence. The genome of DENV is single positive RNA, with 11 kb length and contains a single open reading frame with 96% of its nucleotides encoding all viral proteins.
