Summary

In two series totalling 115 dogs, the single layer inversion anastomosis as described by Gambee [15] produced less stenosis and earlier healing than did the standard two layer inversion repair. However, the Gambee anastomosis was not safer when judged by the mortality and was less safe when judged by the local complication rate.
