2023, Molecular Medical Microbiology, Third EditionSafety and immunogenicity of an alum-adjuvanted whole-virion H7N9 influenza vaccine: a randomized, blinded, clinical trial
2021, Clinical Microbiology and InfectionCitation Excerpt :At present, clinical studies show that the H7N9 influenza vaccine has lower H7 immunogenicity than the seasonal influenza vaccine [4–6]. Even in cases infected with an H7 virus, neutralizing antibodies and the haemagglutinin inhibition (HI) antibody titre often cannot be detected, or are present at much lower levels than in those infected with a seasonal influenza virus [1,7–10]. Overall, seasonal influenza vaccines elicit a superior immune response in inoculated persons [11,12].
