Bacteriophage therapy has proved to be an excellent alternative against many bacteria (Alisky et al., 1998). Studies have shown that bacteriophages could be used as a good scheme to treat systemic, mucosal and cutaneous infections, and they have also been suggested to be effective against multi-drug resistant bacteria.

Phage therapy is a well-known and efficient method of therapy for bacterial infection in many countries world-wide as countries of former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe [6–9]. The emergence of global problem of drug resistance of bacterial pathogens returned the global attention towards phage therapy as a promising alternative therapy against drug-resistant bacterial pathogens [6,7,10,11].
