2007, Physics Letters, Section A: General, Atomic and Solid State PhysicsCitation Excerpt :In [8–10] the focussing of synchrotron radiation by a polycapillary lens has been studied and a fine structure in the focal spot was observed. The authors of [9–13] tried to explain this effect by wave features of X-ray propagation through the polycapillary lens. However, the inner diameters of individual capillary channels were about 600 μm, i.e. rather large, so that the observed fine structure can be also explained by geometrical effects [14].
