  • Langerhans cell histiocytosis and associated malignancies: A retrospective analysis of 270 patients

    2022, European Journal of Cancer
    Citation Excerpt :

There have been single reports on a clonal relationship between LCH and ALL with a demonstration of the same T-cell-receptor rearrangement in both entities [20] as well as for T-ALL and non-LCH histiocytic disorder and a histiocytic sarcoma [21]. It has also been shown that coincident LCH and ALL can share the same oncogenic mutation, which suggests a more general clonal relationship between LCH and ALL [22–24]. In contrast to ALL, AML-AM occurred only after childhood LCH, but interestingly, mostly concurrently to LCH in adults.
