Estimation of heavy metal exposure in workplace and health risk exposure assessment in steel industries in Iran
2017, Measurement: Journal of the International Measurement ConfederationCitation Excerpt :Lead and cadmium had the highest and the lowest mean concentrations of 45 and 1.5 µg·m−3, respectively. This was similar to the result of Triger et al.’s (1989) [35] study, which estimated the exposure to Cd and Pb in PM from steel industries to be more than any other elements. Owoade et al. (2009) [34] also showed that the Pb content of workplace air in a scrap iron and steel smelting industry was highest among other toxic metals.
