Abstract

The energy levels of a quantum disk containing one or two electrons are calculated as a function of an external magnetic field. The confinement potential is a hard wall of finite height. The cyclotron transition energies are investigated and the effect of the finite width of the disk on the Coulomb energy is studied. Our results are applied to the InxGa1xAs/GaAs dots and agree well with experiment. © 1996 The American Physical Society.
