    However, the hundreds of articles on the topic have not led to a clear consensus. Meta-analyses by different groups, using different statistical approaches, different measures of violence, and different inclusion criteria for studies included in the analysis, come to diametrically opposed conclusions, with some reporting strong effects (for a recent review see [25]) and others reporting no or negligible effects [26–29]. Proponents of the view that violent video games do lead to real-world violence note behavioral, galvanic skin response, and neuroimaging studies demonstrating desensitization to violence with repeated exposure [30,31].
